Estepona is a fairly large and very typical Andalusían town in the Costa del Sol. Around 67,000 people live in Estepona and it is a big tourist resort. The city has managed to retain its charm and atmosphere of an old fishing village. The city benefits from the mountains which protect against the cold from the north and it results in an estimated 325 days of sunshine and an average temperature of 18.5 degrees.
In Estepona you will find a charming harbor, different types of beaches with plenty of activities, modern golf courses, classic monuments, cozy squares and some narrow historic stone roads. You will of course also be able to find many tapas bars and seafood restaurants where you can get traditional Spanish specialties. A must visit is Selwo, a safari park that attracts more than 4 million visitors each year. There are 2,000 animals from all over the world that live in semi-wild conditions. With a mix of classic Andalusian charm and a modern influence, Estepona is an attractive place to visit or live in.
